Other Positions:

OVERhang is a hub for safety, training, and adventure.  We serve resource industries, outdoor recreationists, and families seeking to grow and learn.  Consider joining our team if you are intent on having fun while you work, and if you bring a great skill set in instruction (adult or youth) and safety or rescue.

Our customers love us, and demand continues to grow for high-quality training and safety standby professionals.

We are keen to hear from the following applicants:

  • First aid instructors (OFA1, OFA2, OFA3, and TE).  Willingness to travel is a bonus.
  • First aid attendants for local and remote work with our Emergency Transport Vehicle.  Must have current OFA3 certification and 3+ years of experience as a first aider on jobsites, or as a first responder (fire, ambulance, SAR, military, etc).
  • People that are both great with kids and have a strong first aid background that would like to be trained to instruct Home Alone and Babysitting courses (to kids in PG and throughout the region).  Parents and grandparents bring great expertise to the table!  This is a great part-time job for a stay-at-home parent, or a retired teacher, or a lifeguard, or a camp counsellor, or any number of backgrounds related to youth education, youth engagement, and safety or first aid.
  • Swiftwater and/or Ice Safety/Rescue technicians to do safety standby work at resource industry jobsites (bridge construction, dam construction, etc).  Must be willing to travel.  Must have minimum SRT3/ISRT3 certification plus a background in related fields of safety, rescue, or ICS.
  • Certified Instructors of snowmobile safe rider training, with strong risk management and adult education skills.
  • Experienced Instructors of Bear/Cougar/Ungulate Aware, Wilderness Skills, Wilderness Survival, and Navigation… people with real backgrounds working and recreating in the bush, putting these skills into practice, and passionate about growing other people’s engagement with our great outdoors.  If you have the right background and an interest in learning how to instruct adults and kids, we can help you develop that skillset.
  • Certified Instructors of WHMIS, Confined Space, Fall Protection, TDG, and other industrial courses… with related experience in industry to draw from.

OVERhang team members exemplify integrity, experience, judgment, professionalism, flexibility, and collaboration.  We don’t merely check boxes… we make sure our contributions are meaningful to our clients, and our recommendations thoughtful and practical.  We choose to go above and beyond.  We are excited by our work, passionate about safety/rescue, and keen to share our expertise.  If this sounds like a fit, and you have pertinent training and expertise, we want to hear from you!  Many of our work opportunities can be scheduled to suit your availability even if it is part-time.

Based in Prince George, OVERhang has a regional presence and is open to applications from experienced personnel based elsewhere in North/Central BC.
