OVERhang is currently seeking enthusiastic and organized individuals to join our team as Spring Break and Summer Camp Staff! These week-long camps offer children thrilling adventures in climbing, team-building, and more. In addition to regular camp roles, we are also looking for a Head Camp Staff member to take on additional leadership responsibilities. Here's a breakdown of the roles:
Camp Staff Responsibilities:
Program Planning: Collaborate with the Head Camp Staff to assist in creating engaging daily schedules, ensuring a balance of fun, education, and growth for campers.
Activity Coordination: Assist in leading various activities, from climbing sessions to games and crafts, prioritizing safety and adherence to camp rules.
Camper Supervision: Keep a vigilant eye on campers, ensuring their well-being and happiness throughout the day.
Behavior Management: Assist in managing camper behavior and conflicts calmly and constructively, maintaining a positive environment.
Safety and Risk Management: Adhere to strict safety protocols, prioritizing the well-being and security of campers during all activities.
Head Camp Staff Responsibilities (in addition to Camp Staff duties):
Provide leadership in program planning, ensuring activities align with camp objectives and goals.
Coordinate activity schedules and delegate tasks to camp staff, overseeing their execution.
Serve as a point of contact for staff and campers, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
Implement and enforce camp policies and procedures, promoting a safe and positive camp environment.
Assist in staff training and development, providing guidance and support as needed.
Spring Break positions are starting now, and summer positions will begin as early as April/May to accommodate university students' schedules.
The camps run in week-long sessions in July and August, from approximately 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. There will be program planning, and preparations outside of these hours.
Staff wage starts at $16.75 per hour, while Head Staff wage starts at $18.50 per hour.
