Swiftwater Rescue Technician 1 (Awareness)

River Safety Training for resource workersDo you work on roads, bridges, or construction sites near rivers or streams?  Need some basic river safety training?  This One-day river safety course in the Fort St John area of BC is for natural resources workers who aren't actually working in rivers, but run a small risk of falling in.

Includes online training in advance (which takes most people 2-6 hours to complete), followed by the training day which includes a little bit of classroom time followed by most of the day suited up in drysuits, PFDs, helmets, etc and actually practicing swimming, hazard avoidance, and self rescue skills in a river environment.
