Occupational River Safety Courses:

This series of technician courses are designed to provide resource professionals with the most current information on preparation, mitigation, self-rescue and safety concerns for dealing with river survival and job safety in general. The practical components will have participants literally immersed in the river environment, practicing many of the techniques needed to operate safely or effect a rescue in the case of an emergency.

River safety training is a requirement for people / agencies who:

  • work in or near river environments classified as low to high risk
  • work doing specific tasks such as inspections, patrols, habitat biology
  • are landscape mining, conducting exploration work, or in oil & gas
  • wildlife / resource management, water sampling, bridge building, and/or
  • work in small teams unsupervised.

Pick the right course for you by contacting us at to discuss the type of work you do and the level of risk you face working in or near rivers.
