Parent and Tot (Age 0-2) Climbing

2-hour sessions for infants and toddlers 2 years old and under, and their parent/guardian.  Meet other like-minded parents and their toddlers/infants while enjoying a personal physically-distanced climbing workout!

$12 per adult/child pair.  $6 per additional child, $8 per additional adult (must be in same household bubble).  Whether climbing or not, all clients in our space are considered "participants" and must register accordingly.

Who is this program for?

  • Parents with infants: parent is looking to climb, get some exercise, and get out of the house - with infant nearby.
  • Parents with tots: parent is keen to climb and run/roll around together with their tot (2 years old and under), both experiencing climbing together.

What is included?

  • An orientation upon first visit
  • Climbing harness for all participants
  • Up to two hours of climbing between 9am and 11am
  • Opportunity to work on personal fitness and do something fun and healthy with your child
  • 50% off a Learn to Belay class (for the adult), to be scheduled separately.

 

How does it work?

  • The parent must be actively supervising their child at all times (this is not a child-minding service).
  • The parent will be directly supporting their own child in their exploration of climbing (there is no coach providing instructions).
  • A "Participant" for this program is anyone in our climbing spaces, whether they intend to climb or not (includes parents and kidlets!).  Please register and pay accordingly.
  • Bring your own clean indoor shoes.  The space can be chilly, so shoes and sweaters are encouraged!  We provide adult climbing shoes, but they're not comfortable for hanging out in when not actively climbing...

 

COVID-19 protocols:

  • Parents will undertake a full orientation upon their first visit, with specific details about the facility and about COVID-19 protocols
  • Before coming, all parents must accept the following measures:
    • Do not come in if you, your child, or anyone in your household has any COVID-19 symptoms or has been exposed to anyone that has recently travelled outside Canada.
    • Full hand washing with soap and water is expected of all participants immediately upon entry to facility.
    • Masks are to be worn by adults at all times, including while climbing.
    • While we vacuum/mop floors and disinfect common touch surfaces regularly (counters, door knobs, sinks, taps, carabiners and other hardware, climbing shoes, etc), we simply cannot sanitise all climbing holds, ropes, autobelay straps, harnesses, etc – so participants should wash/sanitise their hands diligently and avoid touching their faces.
    • Parents must do their best to help their child maintain physical distance 2+ meters from others not in their household.
