Avalanche Skills Training 1 (AST1) for sledders
Date: December 28, 2018 8:30 am to December 29, 2018 6:00 pm
An AST 1 course is where you’ll learn the fundamentals of travelling in avalanche terrain. This one is based out of Fort St John. An AST 1 course includes one day in town, followed by a day in the mountains, and is suitable for people with basic training and little avalanche experience. Must be competent in riding a snowmobile in the mountains.
We all have to start somewhere! This winter take the training that will help you understand your environment and the tools available to you, and help you make good decisions every time you head out into the backcountry.
